Overview

The Faculty of Agriculture (SCU) is one of the prior faculties in the university. The faculty was one of the 1st constructed faculties in the university. The faculty was established upon presidential resolution number (39) in 1976. The first academic year in the faculty is 1978\1977. Meantime only four agriculture programs were educated: Plants production, animal production, land and water, and food and dairy products.


The Faculty of Agriculture (SCU) keened on enhancing its performance. The faculty’s administration works on promoting the links between students, the scientific research sector, community service, and environmental development. The faculty deploys its different academic programs to serve the environment and the community. The faculty looks forward to graduating qualified graduates who can serve the community, develop the environment, and support community service.


The faculty worked to acquire academic accreditation from The National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education. Thank God, the faculty got the accreditation on 23 May 2016 and became the 4th faculty in the university who received the accreditation.

The Faculty of Agriculture aspires to reach a respectful and unique level between faculties of Agriculture in Egyptian, regional, and global universities. The Faculty looks to attain this level with the help of its educational programs, research activities, and community and environmental services as part of Suez Canal University's future vision.

Mission

The Faculty of Agriculture is committed to offering chances of education and learning to prepare and graduate agricultural professionals and researchers able to compete and contribute using research to advance the agriculture sector. Besides focusing on community and environment problems to achieve sustainability in the frame of professional ethics and preserving our identity.
