Agronomy Program

Overview

The program aims to prepare a graduate in the field of production and raising of field crops can keep up with the needs of the external market by studying a number of courses in plant breeding, soil and water, and agricultural engineering fields. Graduation requirements in this program are according to determined guidelines.

Mission

The Agronomy Science program stresses offering unique education and learning chances to prepare and graduate professionals and researchers who can compete and contribute to developing the Horticulture results and focus on society and surrounding environmental problems to attain sustainable development. Moreover, focus on professional morals and preserving our identity.

Goals:

  • Support the society with Agriculture Engineer specialized in crop growing and production, able to manage and deploy agricultural resources and entities, and can use appropriate technologies to solve technical and economic problems related to the agriculture branch.
  • Enrich the graduate with the knowledge and concepts, and develop skills that enable the graduate to present his professional skills, preserve the natural resources and biological variation, and use them appropriately. 
  • Prepare a graduate can apply agricultural methods under production and environmental conditions. 
  • Prepare a graduate can keep pace with advancements within the latest and vital technological applications in crop growing and production field in the frame of the country’s sustainable development. 
  • Improve the graduate’s skills to take advantage of all agricultural wastes to prevent environmental pollution.
