Home Economics Program

Overview 

This program includes knowledge and practical skills that are more important to female students in public health, aids, home coordination, clothing, interior design, food production, and therapeutic nutrition areas. The program is based on the basic sciences of agriculture, health, ambulance, chemistry, human nutrition, and landscaping.

Mission 

The Home Economics program stresses offering unique education and learning chances to prepare and graduate professionals who can compete and contribute to developing the Home Economics sector and focus on society and surrounding environmental problems to attain sustainable development. Moreover, focus on professional morals and preserving our identity.

Goals: 

  • Support the society with Agriculture Engineer specialized in the Home Economic areas able to manage production units and development centers that help in improving local and national Home Economics and greaten performance levels. 
  • Enrich the graduate with the knowledge, concepts, scientific skills, and developed mentality according to the Academic National Reference guidelines to compete in the Home Economics area with total awareness of society and environment issues and professional ethics. 
  • Prepare a graduate specialized in providing feeding care and prepare food samples for members and groups matching health and age status.
  • Preparing specialized graduates aware and qualified academically and culturally can meet labour market needs, can compete, and preserve the uniqueness in the Home Economics area. 
  • Prepare a graduate can keep pace with developments in Home Economics fields within the country’s sustainable development plan.
  • Provide the society with cadres who can offer technical and culture consultancies and special feeding services that serve the general and farm families, especially in the Home Economics area. 
  • Develop graduates’ skills and abilities to manage home roles, prepare family balance, increase family’s income using the available sources, use food and feeding to all members in a scientifically healthy way, and design and sew different clothes and fabrics.
