Program Overview:
The Faculty of Agriculture – Suez Canal University is offering its distinguished program for the sixth year (with a fee of 250 EGP per credit hour) to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Food Safety under the credit hour system.
The program aims to:
- Introduce distinguished education in the field of food manufacturing and food safety according to local and global standards.
- Equip graduates with scientific, professional, and technical knowledge and skills in the field of food safety, which are not available at other Egyptian universities, enabling them to work with outstanding efficiency in the industry, inspection, and management of organizations and companies.
- Establish a new study system at the bachelor's level at the Faculty of Agriculture that meets the needs of the local and global labor market.
- Create channels of communication and cooperation with ministries, companies, institutions, and similar foreign scientific bodies to exchange expertise and information and to open up employment opportunities for program students.
Professional Outcomes of the Program:
A graduate of the Food Safety program will be able to:
- Identify and analyze problems in the field of food manufacturing and food safety and prioritize them.
- Analyze food chemically, microbiologically, rheologically, and sensory-wise, as well as analyze contaminants to assess quality and safety.
- Apply food inspection systems - risks of poisoning, health impacts, their causes, and how to prevent them.
- Establish the technological sequence for different food processing lines.
- Evaluate various manufacturing lines, defects, and maintenance methods to ensure food safety.
