The preserved plants technology program is committed to preparing graduates skilled with knowledge, skills, morals, and guidelines of preserved plants profession related to horticulture. Moreover, meet local and regional labour market needs and pioneer in conducting scientific research to keep pace with global progress. Finally, to transfer knowledge and settle technology to provide an outstanding service to develop the environment and community service.

Sustainable Agriculture and Seed Production Program

Overview
Sustainable Agriculture and Seed Production is a special program with different fees. The program’s learning language is English and follows the credit hours system.

Upon the sustainable development strategy for Egypt 2030 vision (Agricultural development core), the idea of creating a sustainable agriculture program to draw it with Agriculture special programs. The goal is to make the program the starting point of sustainable development in the region. Consolidation of this culture and widening the sustainable development idea is to attain desired goals in all agricultural specializations on the ground.
The strategic goal of seed production (spawn, seed, and seedlings) is to produce seeds with high quality among institutional constraints and organize entry, registration, production, and handling of agricultural crop seeds to enhance the agricultural sector.

Sustainable Agriculture and Seed Production aims to graduate a member skilled in life sciences fundamentals and the role of agriculture in the sustainable development of scientific and practical various specializations. Maximizing the graduates' chances to join the labour market and enriching them with enough share of scientific skills to enable them to work in the agriculture field and produce and increase seeds. Moreover, to be equipped with the required skills to use and understand computer applications in sustainable agriculture. Finally, it enables the graduate to work with a research group and participate in multiple applied research tasks.

The program aspires to achieve scout and discreteness in performance to attain a reputable position among Faculty of Agriculture programs in Egyptian, regional, and global universities. Through consolidation of quality values in learning and training fields, and to keep pace with advancements and local, regional, and global updates in Sustainable agriculture and seeds production field. 

Mission
Sustainable Agriculture and Seed Production is one of the special programs offered by the Faculty of Agriculture that matches Egypt’s plan for 2030 for sustainable development. Besides focusing on the second goal to end hunger and sustainable agriculture. This program is designed to prepare qualified graduates to compete in the seeds production labour market and apply sustainable agriculture strategies through the availability of advanced education and training courses in this field.

Goals
•    To qualify and train graduates in agricultural production fields and enrich them with knowledge, and scientific and professional skills.
•    To prepare a competitive graduate mastered with analysis skills and solving problems that the sustainable agricultural production field faces, environmental systems (water, soil, agricultural resources), and applying advanced technology sustainably.
•    To fulfill graduates with knowledge and skills to enable them to reach distinction, innovate, and invest in agricultural production fields.
•    To provide technical consultations to promote sustainable agriculture in Egypt and the surrounding area.
•    To gain needed qualifications to work in agricultural production in canal governorates region (Ismailia – Suez – Port_said). Next, the new expanding areas in Sinai to increase agriculture and preserve lands from desertification are listed with the development of national projects that enhances graduates’ working vacancies.
•    To equip able to compete locally and internationally in applying strategies and practicing sustainable agriculture branch to cope with climate changes and reach food safety.
•    Find communication and cooperation channels with ministries, companies, authorities Egyptian organizations related to agricultural production. Moreover, the foreign counterpart scientific authorities exchange experiences and information.

Food Safety Program

Overview 

The Faculty of Agriculture (SCU), opens this special program (250 L.E for each credit hour) to attain Bachelor’s degree in food safety with a credit hours system.

Goals:

  • To innovate a discrete education system in food production and safety at local and global levels.
  • To enrich the graduate with the knowledge and scientific, professional, and technical skills in food safety areas that are not present in other Egyptian universities that enables them to master production, supervision, authority, and company management.
  • To create a new learning system along the Bachelor level in the Faculty of Agriculture to match local and global labour markets.
  • Find communication channels and cooperation with ministries, companies, authorities Egyptian organizations. Moreover, the foreign counterpart scientific authorities exchange experiences and information. In addition to opening the door for program graduates in working vacancies and hiring.

Food Safety Program

Business Administration and Agricultural Projects Program

Overview

An innovative program that operates through the credit hours system. It deals with the study of the economic aspects and the administration of agricultural agencies technically and carries out feasibility studies based on the scientific analysis of the inputs and outputs of the project. The program also provides the basic and applied sciences in the field of business administration and agricultural projects and marketing.

Agricultural Engineering Program

Overview

This program is a credit hour system. The program is concerned with the proper use of the equipment used in the various stages of agricultural production and manufacturing systems. Besides the basic and applied generalities in engineering and agriculture, the program offers specialized courses covering agricultural energy and machinery specialties, smart manufacturing, post-harvest engineering, irrigation engineering, agricultural drainage, agricultural building engineering, and bio-environmental engineering.
